Anticipate walkway maintenance and restoration

The eight Royal Parks in London cover 5,000 acres of parkland and receive millions of visitors each year. Several PYRO sensors are installed in two of the most popular sites: Richmond Park and Kensington Gardens – visited by over 750,000 people per year – in order to record the number of visitors.

The data from the pedestrian counters is automatically transmitted to the Eco-Visio software and is critical to anticipating maintenance and restoration.

Count data can also be used to:

  • Monitor the performance of marketing and communication initiatives.
  • Anticipate walkway erosion and restoration.
  • Help secure funding for the development and renewal of recreational facilities and outdoor spaces.
